ETHOS

The groups advertised in these pages are Christian-based and seek to support men and women from all walks of life who have experienced relationship, marital or family breakdown, regardless of background, race, colour, sexual orientation or personal beliefs.

They aim to give non-judgemental care and guidance to people who, although struggling to come to terms with their situation, are wanting to rebuild their lives.

Group co-ordinators do not seek to impose their beliefs on others, although they are happy to discuss them with those who enquire.

People who become involved in Breakthrough support groups indicate that they benefit greatly from the companionship they find and the opportunity to share within the group. Many enjoy meeting up at reunions from time to time

None of these groups aims to be an introduction agency. Inevitably however, some members form and maintain successful relationships. Over the 15 year period in which these groups have been founded, an increasing number of these have found happiness in re-marriage.
